Summer Fashion014: Whiten Up Trend

Statement making Summer whites in Seasonally Appropriate Fabrics.

Again at Milan Fashion Week: Finally, it is often said that white is the summer’s black, and with the heat rapidly approaching, designers translated their own language into the season’s “hottest” color – white. More importantly, the designers showed looks with head to toe white, hinting at a strong transition towards a new staple for suiting.

Lean, clean and athletic machine! It’s all part of the "Sportif Trend" which has a grip on Europe.

On day two of the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2014, the backdrop at Carven was a half-pipe and the opening soundtrack was of skateboard wheels rolling up and down. It is inspiration to go out and get physical and in shape!

Direct Sales Versus Network Marketing (MLM)

Direct Sales Versus Network Marketing (MLM)

Many of our entrepreneur marketing coaching clients are involved in Direct Sales or MLMs. Because I was not sure I actually knew the difference (okay, I admit, I didn’t know there WAS a difference!), I thought I should get some help from an expert in the industry!
Guest post by Direct Sales Expert – Tina Kraft
There are many articles out there about direct sales versus Network Marketing (sometimes called MLM or multi level marketing). I find it interesting how varying the opinions are on this subject. First off, I have been involved in both so this comes from first hand experience. Having said that, each and every company has a different sales model and compensation plan. Every company has a different percentage of commissions.

Network Marketing Companies
Most Network Marketing Companies have an auto ship for both the customers and the distributors, and to receive your royalties as a distributor it is a minimum monthly autoship to receive your products for “wholesale” – every company is different. Network Marketing is based more on signing people up to be either a customer or distributor and have them on autoship. They are normally consumable products. You make less money on your individual sales and about the same on your downline as in direct sales, but again EVERY company is a little different.

Direct Sales Marketing Companies
Direct Sales is more relationship based and face-to-face sales. Most Direct Sales companies use the party plan module. The commission made by the distributor from their personal sales is usually very good so YOU are more in control of your income. You can also build a downline and have residual income from your downline. Most companies have incentives and bonuses for sales and recruiting and also have incentive trips you can earn for FREE! Being more of a relationship based model, you have repeat customers and hosts for your “parties” or events. This is also why it is dominated by women as we are more relationship based in business.

How To Pick A Company
So what type of company do you want to be a part of? First when picking a company you need to figure out what you are passionate about. Are you passionate about health and wellness, decorating, bling, cosmetics, fashion, coffee? The list goes on and on! Also look at the compensation plan structure, do you want to build a team and become a leader in the company? What type of support will you need?
Direct Sales and Network Marketing are great ways to become an entrepreneur. It DOES take hard work, dedication and time to build your business.
Remember that nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy!! But it is very gratifying!! Make sure you are committed to your venture and don’t become discouraged easily.

Goals

What are goals? There are several definitions including the one in the webster dictionary that defines goals as:  the end toward which effort is directed
a key word in this definition is the word effort. So many entrepreneurs set a goal and just think that it will happen, or only think about it once in a while but it takes effort! Daily effort! A favorite quote of mine is "Every action you take is either aimed at your goal or not" so when you are planning your day, you need to look at your goals and ask yourself: Is this action going to take me closer to my goal or not? With most network marketing and direct selling companies you need recruits, customers and sales! If you are performing tasks which do not take you towards those goals then really you should refocus. Now some things need to be done but many use things as excuses not to do the tasks that put them closer to their goals.
Also break down your goals. Everyone is different in how they like to do this but if you have a goal to achieve a trip for example and it is a year away then you need to break this down in quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily goals. You need to find the best system for yourself.
Goals are a target of your behavior, if you really want to achieve something then your daily behavior does have to mirror that which you want to achieve!

If you want an accountability partner or someone to help map out your goals I would love to help you!

Success is a Journey Not a Destination

How do you define Success? Is it by the amount of money you make? Is it a position you want to achieve? To everyone it means something different.

What does "Success is a Journey Not a Destination" really mean?

When you achieve that position or that monetary goal that you are aiming for, does that mean that you have achieved success so you can quit what you are doing? Of course not! Really that is when it really begins, just like a student at graduation, whether it is from high school or a university, the day of graduation isn't the successful part...the journey that got them there is why they graduated.  Also the work just begins, because it is after graduation you have to go on to either a university if just graduated from high school (or get a job) or a career if graduating from university!
I have achieved many successes in my life, but have never thought that "I had arrived"  whenever a goal was achieved. It is  then that there was accountability for either that position or "success" that had been attained.
What ever your definiation of "success" is then you have to take action on a daily basis to achieve it! It does not happen over night and does not occur on it's own. You have to have dedication and a PASSION for what you believe in,
I believe in everyones God given ability to achieve any thing they set their mind to!!

The "Networking" Part of Network Marketing

Networking is obviously an essential part of network marketing. Every successful network marketer knows this to be true. Although networking is such an intricate part of network marketing, the two terms are not synonymous. However there are many similarities. Both rely heavily on people skills. Both require people to confront their fear of talking to other people. Both carry with them the risk of rejection. Both also carry with them enormous opportunity. And to some people, both are considered dirty words.

Of course people that consider networking as something that is 'not done' don't understand what networking is really about. The same can be said of people that think network marketing is something that is beneath them. Many people think of networking as a way to get connected solely for their own advancement in life. In that respect a person might feel that it is unethical or not noble to network. This line of thinking stems from the idea that advancement will always come at the expense of someone else, that success in life is a zero-sum game. These people often look at network marketing from the same perspective. They think of profiting from other people's efforts as something that is negative and not fair to them. In reality, successful networkers will tell you that it doesn't work that way at all. Networking doesn't have to be at anybody's expense and the business of network marketing doesn't reward anyone for taking advantage of others. It actually rewards people for helping other people to succeed. In that respect it may very well be the most ethical business model in the world today.

A lot of the negativity around networking can be explained by the different types of networkers. Some can be considered 'hunters', moving in for a quick kill, after which they move out again. They often operate without regard of the other persons interest and because of this they will enjoy the fruits of success for only a limited period of time. Often it will not take long before people find out what's really driving the hunter. Once they see that he or she is only looking after his or her own interests, their willingness to interact with this person will quickly evaporate. By contrast, truly successful networkers are often 'farmers' who spend a lot of time sowing and nourishing their relationships, instead of just focusing on reaping. They invest in their network, they energize their network. They use their network, but they never ever abuse their network! And their network knows this. A true networker will always keep the interests of others in mind. That's why working with a true networker is so enjoyable. Networkers are often very likeable and as such people like to interact with them.

Networking is a skill that is essential to all businesses not just network marketing. Although network marketing differs in many ways from the more traditional forms of doing business, the importance of networking is just as prevalent. If not more so. A network marketer that doesn't know how to network will be out of business in no time. Network marketing is first and foremost a people's business and this implies that the ability to effectively work with people is absolutely critical. This is why successful network marketers are extremely adept at networking. Many have found out over time that developing this skill can pay off in many areas outside their network marketing business as well. Business owners who have started a home based business on the side often apply their enhanced networking and people's skills in their traditional business with great success. For some network marketers this spin-off has earned them more money than the income from their network marketing business itself.

So whether you are in network marketing or in a more traditional type of business, don't underestimate the importance of becoming an effective networker. And if you really want to master this skill you may find there is a lot to learn from good network marketers. So if you happen to know anybody that fits that description, try and benefit from their knowledge on the topic. It will surely help you network your way to success!

How to Identify and Avoid the 7 Biggest Mistakes Made when Starting a Network Marketing Business

Network marketing has enabled more people to become independently wealthy, home based business owners than any other industry; it is truly an equal opportunity business model Anybody can succeed in network marketing regardless of age, race, religious belief, educational background, hair color or whatever other ?obstacle? you think might exist
Network marketing has enabled more people to become independently wealthy, home based business owners than any other industry; it is truly an equal opportunity business model. Anybody can succeed in network marketing regardless of age, race, religious belief, educational background, hair color or whatever other ?obstacle? you think might exist.

But sadly, even though anybody CAN succeed in network marketing, only 5% of those who get involved actually do. The biggest reason why most people struggle and fail in this industry is because they lack practical business skills. When a lack of skills exists, starting a business becomes a leap of faith. And, overwhelmingly, a leap of faith will almost always end in a crash.

It kills me to see so many well intentioned, hard working people fail when it just doesn?t have to be that way. If only people would get started in business the right way, they?d be giving themselves a huge advantage to achieve the success they so desire. Every business owner will learn and get better as they go. But, when just starting out, it is so crucially important to understand a few key principles up front.

The beginning stages of building a business will set the tempo for your success. The failure rate in network marketing is so high because the frustration and struggle at the beginning will cause many to quit long before they?ve allowed themselves an honest attempt at success.

So, having said that, let?s take a look at the 7 biggest mistakes made by 99% of those who start a network marketing business. And, how you can be assured of getting started the right way.

Biggest mistake #1-

Network marketing is a serious business. Or, to put it another way, it will only be as serious a business as you make of it. If you treat it as the serious business that it is, you will be giving yourself a huge advantage in becoming successful. If you treat it like a hobby or anything less than a serious business, I can assure you it will lead to frustrations, lost time and lost money.

Biggest mistake #2-

There are four business sectors that all network marketing companies will fit into. Clearly understanding each of these sectors, and understanding the potential risks and rewards of each, will provide a great deal of clarity on choosing the one that?s best suited to you. For example, do you have the propensity for risk found in the emerging market sector or, would you feel more comfortable operating a business in the proven sector? Once you understand the differences between all four, you?ll know a lot more than most other people who get started in network marketing.

Biggest mistake #3-

All businesses are started and grown by entrepreneurs. To succeed in multi level marketing, you have to have the mindset of an entrepreneur. You cannot bring an employee mind set or attitude into your own business and expect to succeed. An employee expects to trade time for dollars whereas a real business owner expects to build a passive income stream.

Biggest mistake #4-

Are you able to work well with others? Network marketing is first and foremost a people business. To be successful, one must enjoy working with others. Working with people also means dealing with people; differing personalities, differing cultures and often times vastly different geographical locations are just a few of the challenges you?ll face.

Biggest mistake #5-

The person under whom you start your business is known as your sponsor. A more apt title for this person may very well be your business partner. This is the person who, at least at the beginning, will be instrumental in your business building efforts. They will ? or should ? provide you with the leadership and guidance you?ll need to build a business organization of your own. How carefully have you chosen your sponsor to make sure they are the right person to help you reach your goals?

Biggest mistake #6-

In order to become successful in network marketing, you?ll need to build an organization of your own. The people you?ll be brining into your organization will need your guidance and leadership in building their own business. Translation: you?ll be giving these folks your time. Do not give your time away freely to just anyone. Time is your most precious asset and you?ll want to give that time to serious business builders only. If you get into a habit of sponsoring just anyone with a pulse, you?re going to be squandering a lot of your most precious asset.

Biggest mistake #7-

The biggest reason why network marketing has such a high rate of failure is because people are too willing to give up when the going gets tough. Ask anyone who has become successful in business and they?ll tell you that the biggest reason for their success was their ability to weather the tough times. I don?t care what business it is you choose to pursue, if you throw in the towel at the first sign of difficulty, you?ll be forever mired in mediocrity. Don?t give up. Don?t ever, ever give up.

Multi level marketing is a business model that a countless number of people have used to achieve financial freedom. It is a model that anyone can take advantage of to reach their dreams. It?s saddening to see so many people with good intentions fail in network marketing when all they needed for success was the right knowledge. I hope that this article has provided you with a bit of the knowledge you?ll need to accomplish great things in a network marketing business of your own.

Key Areas for Follow Up

Follow-up strategies are not only for use with your prospects and clients. Learn the six main areas where you can employ follow-up tactics in your day-to-day business life.

Follow-up strategies are not only for use with your prospects and clients. They are also very successful in fostering beneficial relationships with everyone else you'll come in contact with through your business life: strategic partners, peers and colleagues, affiliates, vendors and suppliers, and anyone else you can think of.
There are 6 main areas where you can employ follow-up tactics in your day-to-day business life.
1. Thank you
Saying thank you is a key part of your follow-up marketing strategies. Send a hand-written note, a short email or pick up the phone and express your thanks quickly and sincerely.
Everyone loves to be appreciated and it goes a long way in fostering a good relationship. Don't forget you can always send a small token appreciation as well, such as a magazine, movie tickets, online gift card - use your imagination!
2. Personal
None of us likes to fell "like a number" or just another client, so follow-up marketing tactics that acknowledge the personal side of doing business with someone always goes a long way to making people feel special, remembered and valued.
Gather and store information about your client's personal information and use this as a basis to keep in touch and strengthen the business relationship.
3. Gather information
It's important to stay on top of what your clients and prospects want, need and expect from you and your business. It's also vital to gather information about what people think of your products and services, and find out ways of improving your offerings.
You can follow up with clients via several different ways like your blog, website, an email, a phone call, a personal visit and so on.
4. Administrative
There will be many times that your follow up communications will deal with administrative information. Don't dismiss these opportunities - they provide you with a reason to touch base with your list and show your attention to details and support for their success.
5. Provide information
In addition to providing administrative details to your list, you should also make a point of consistently following up to provide information that helps people solve their problem or issue. You want to ensure that all of your follow-up provides valuable and need-to-know stuff, but this is where you can really demonstrate your expertise and build respect and credibility with your prospects and clients.
You need to be constantly on the lookout for great things that you can share - whether it's from you or other reputable companies and people.
6. Product and service sales
Of course talking about follow-up marketing strategies wouldn't be complete if we didn't talk about sales follow-up.
Many companies only follow up with their prospects and customers when they want to sell them something. I hope that after reading all the material prior to this section that you realize that follow-up needs to be so much more than that.
How often do you think people want to be contacted and asked to buy something? How about a big fat zero! But people do want to be kept informed of your offerings so that if they decide to purchase a product or serviceBusiness Management Articles, they have all the details.
So when you're sending out sales follow-up communications forget the hard-sell and view it as just another opportunity to give people on your list valuable and important information.
Take some time today to think about your business. Where in your business marketing and day-to-day processes can you implement these follow-up strategies in these 6 general areas?
